Saints Boys have some good news from the U12 School Boy State Championships.
Zac Sheehan- Chandan Smith - Connor Robertson - Liam Hart & Lewis Fossey who represented
Met North won the State Championships.
Saints Boys Gold medallist (Just like Liam De Young)!! It’s the first time Met North has won!!
4 Saints boys were selected for Possible and Probable trials; Chandan-Connor- Liam & Lewis.
When the Qld team was announced Lewis, Liam were named and Connor was named as Shadow.
A big congratulations to Lewis Fossey (saints 13’s), Liam Hart (saints 13’s & 11’s) for making the Queensland U12 School Boys Team & Connor (Shadow saints 13’s & 11’s).

We played BAD, after such a great game against Commercial the week before. Instead of the team being consistent they went backwards. Consistent play comes from the individual, we need to step up at this time of year.
We LOST 0-4 to Bulimba??

J2/3 Match Report.
We were without our fearless leader (coach) on Saturday. But boys played well creating many scoring chances. With one hitting post and rebounding well past the 25 yard line. More hard work and game speed is needed. Umpire/Fill in coach reporting. Short report as no time to take notes... Go Saints Go...
Under 13’s Match Report.
The patched up Under 13s scored a memorable 7 - 1 victory over South West United on Saturday. With several key players unavailable at the primary schools state championships in Townsville, the remaining 13s players were joined by some willing Under 11s players. To make things just a little more difficult, the Saints played a kicking fullback in the absence of a trained 'keeper. Liam Usher took on this responsibility in the first half with Andrew Groves stepping up in the second. The new players fitted in magnificently as the team continued to play attractive team oriented hockey with all players looking to find their teammates. The defence was strong throughout such that SWU only scored the solitary goal late in the game. Saints' scoring was led by Jack Symington and Ryan Petzer with two each, with Liam Usher, Sam Gooley and Harry Kettewell the other goal scorers. Jack was as cool as a cucumber in slotting a stroke for one of his goals.
A great week for all with news coming through from Townsville that the Saints reps had won the championship with Met North and all making outstanding contributions, including Lewis Fossey and Liam Hart being rewarded with state selection and Connor Robertson claiming the shadow 'Keeper position.
Under 11’s Match Report.
Under 11 Match Report 16th June
The under 11 side was without the talents of a few of the regular players with sickness and others away on representative duties. Thankfully the under 9's came to the rescue with Ollie, Alex Smith, Alex Shaw and also Imogen from the under 11 girls side.
The game against South West started well with plenty of ball movement amongst the players and great leadership by Declan who managed to control South Wests two strike weapons. Unfortunately the side was down 2-0 by the middle of the half but responded well to hit back thru Cambell going into the half 2-1 down. The second half was played from one end to the other with each side trading goals with Saints going into the last 10 minutes down 5-3 with another goal from Cambell and Ollie. The last 10 minutes everyone took it up a notch and started marking more tightly which resulted in increased pressure on the South West goals, 1 more goal from Cambell and then another with a few minutes to go resulted in a 5-5 draw.
