Reminder:
The Under 11 Brisbane representative trials will be held this Sunday 10 June at;
State Hockey Centre grass fields from 9.30am to 12 noon on both days be there by 9:00am
U7/U9 Carnival - Saturday 16 June:- Your coach will need help!!
Please offer your assistance in some way for him to make sure you children have fun on this day!!!
BHA requires the number of teams that will be entering into the U7/U9 Mid-season Carnival on Saturday 16 June at Shaw Park, so please discuss as a group.
Game times are as follows: Games are 20 minutes one way, five minutes between games.
8.00-8.20am - U7
8.25-8.45am - U9
8.50-9.10am - U7
9.15-9.35am - U9
9.40-10.00am - U7
10.05-10.25am - U9

J1’s Match Report
No Game due to RAIN!!
J2/3 Match Report.
Game1:- We had the Zing back on Saturday.. Yeehaa!!! 5-0 over Redcliffe.. Some great team work leading to some excellent goals.. Penalty corner smashed low to keepers left... Cracking shot from top circle past keeper left ear.... Trap that !!! I was to involved watching a great game to remember the other goals... Great work Boys ....
Game 2:- Sunday... Much harder game loosing 3-0.. great defence Commercial had 11 penalty corners and did not score one... Must mention Corey had a great game on left wing earning us good penalty corners.. Sorry its so short had to do report during work break.... Bringing back the zing next time... Go Saints Go.... Your freindly neighbourhood reporter...
Under 13’s Match Report.
The under 13s were not as impressive as in recent weeks yet scored a 4 - 0 victory over Bulimba at Redcliffe on Saturday. Some of the players failed to follow the coaches' instructions at times in trying to beat players prior to lifting the eyes to spot a teammate in a better position, the result often being a turnover of possession. Even so, the Saints defence was rock solid with keeper Connor Robertson only being called on to make telling saves on a few occasions. Noah Caitens continues to shine with his typically steadfast defence now accompanied with the odd daring run upfield and the ever reliable Chandan Smith was commanding as always. The midfield did string some nice passes together at times with Matt Petzer and Declan McDermott heavily involved. Ryan Petzer showed the skills of a far more experienced player with many deft traps played to his advantage. Goals were scored by Lewis Fossey (3) and Matt Petzer, though more goals would have been scored if not for an outstanding game from the Bulimba keeper.
Under 11’s Match Report.
U 11 Match Report – 2/6/12
The U11s team produced another strong team performance against the young North’s side. Despite having only 10 players for the match, Saints dominated in both attack and defence to win 8-1. The 1st goal was scored by Jack after the goalie saved attempts from Liam and Nick. Declan made it 2-0 shortly after with a clean shot from a short corner. The scoring continued with Jacob finishing off a fine pass from Campell. North’s scored off a short corner to have Saints leading 3-1 at half time.
The 2nd half saw five more Saints goals. Declan collected two more to give him a match hat-trick, Liam produced a ‘special’ that rocketed past the goalie and Jacob picked up his second. Nick also scored with the ball travelling the length of the field starting with a goalie save from Cameron.
All players worked hard and combined well as a team. Jarvis and Jack continued their fine form in the midfield, Owen marked up closely and tackled strongly, and goalie, Cameron, produced solid saves and clearances when needed.
Player of the match went to young striker, Jacob. He added enthusiasm in the circle and was always ready to pounce on long passes from Liam in the midfield. He continues to impress with his match sense and ability to be in the right place.
Under 9’s Match Report.
Under 9’s
The under 9’s were ready to defeat Commercial Purple on Friday night. They were also disappointed to find out that their game had been cancelled due to rain. Player of the match goes to BHA organising committee. See you all on Wednesday night training.
Under 7’s Match Report.
Under 7’s
The under 7’s were due to play Valley Blue on Friday night. Some quick decision making by Brisbane Hockey saw the game cancelled due to rain. The team were disappointed that they were unable to have a run. However, the parents were grateful. See you all on Wednesday night training. Player of the match goes to BHA organising committee.
