Welcome everybody, Well the season has dawned upon us once again. I wish all our teams a successful year.

Since my last newsletter we have had a number of things happen within the Junior Boys side of the Club. The Committee received the resignation of the Club President - Phill Farlow (Phill was also the Junior Boys Chairperson last season but this was left vacant at the AGM in October 10).   I am pleased to announce that Greg Hart has accepted the position of Junior Boys Chairperson for the remainder of the 2011 season.  Gary Day has accepted the role of Club President. I welcome both men on the Boys behalf. 

The Junior Boys have also had trouble this season filling a few of our sides. It is regrettable that we will not be able to field an U13 side this season. Our U9 and U11 boys have also been low on numbers and the U9's have needed to combine with our girls team to field a side and the U11's have combined with the Commercial hockey club U11's for 2011 to field a side after we approached a number of different Clubs.

We have formulated a plan to recruit for next year with the support of parents and have been supplied a proven formula for recruitment. Any assistance you are able to provide to deliver greater numbers for 2012 will be very much appreciated by all on the Junior Boys committee. Hockey is a brilliant game and as they say "a game for life".

Special thanks goes to you, the parents of the U7, U9 and U11 sides, who have shown a great deal of understanding about the turmoil we have been experiencing whilst Greg Hart sorted out the logistics of getting these three sides on the paddock this season. I would also like to thank Darren Cook, John Robinson and Nick Hassell for their assistance in finding a solution to the problem and for offering to Coach the U7's and U9's this year.

FEES: - @011 fees are now due (see the fees tab at the top of the page). I ask all to pay Sarah Balam (Boys Treasurer) as soon as possible.

SEASON START DATES:- The season starts this weekend for some teams. The J1 start on Friday night (01 Apr), the J2/3 side and the U11 side start on Saturday (02 Apr).  The U7s start on Friday 29 Apr and the U9s will be advised when the Girls competition commences by their Coach
