JUNIOR PRESENTATION

The Junior Presentation this year will be held on 09 October at Brendale Clubhouse.  The day will commence at 10AM.  There will be a jumping castle for the kids (and those who are kids at heart) and a free sausage sizzle and other goodies for the players (others will be charged a small amount).  WE ASK THAT YOU DO NOT BRING ALCOHOL TO THIS EVENT AS IT IS PRIMARLY A CHILDRENS DAY.   The day is expected to conclude around 2PM.  More details will follow as they come to hand.

END OF SEASON

Well the end of season is fast approaching with the normal season fixtures for most teams being completed this weekend.  We have a number of teams in the finals so please don’t relax just yet.  If your team is out of final contention we ask that you come out and support our other teams.  Also a reminder that there is a Carnival coming up (27 August) for the U7s to complete your season.

REPRESENTATIVE NEWS

Saints Success for Brisbane Hockey Association:

Brisbane Hockey hosted the Coulter Shield for Under 11’s.

Brisbane had a very triumphant day by winning all three divisions.

Brisbane 1, 2 and 3 going though undefeated with a total of only 5 goals being conceded between the three teams in 17 games.

PR Saints were fortunate to have 5 players selected among the 3 Brisbane sides.

Noah Caitens was selected as Captain Brisbane 3 team.

Mathew Petzer selected in the Brisbane 2 team (first year as a Hockey Player).

Liam Hart, Chandan Smith and Connor Robertson were all selected in the Brisbane 1 team.

All the Saints boys were a credit on and off the field not only to the Brisbane teams they were apart of but for PR Saints.

Noah, Liam, Chandan and Connor have been part of PR Saints hockey Club from under 7’s and were part of the Premiership under 11’s 2010 side, Mathew has fitted into his new team and club perfectly.

CLUB DAY – THIS WEEKEND

ALL- our DIV 1, 2 and 3 sides are playing their final round games this week-end against Commercial.  Our Div 1 and 2 sides are playing for the minor premiership (there is 1 point separating Saints and Commercial in both grades).  I urge you all to come out to the State Hockey Centre in your Club gear and cheer on both sides on Saturday afternoon (times detailed below).  Commercial always gets a HUGE turnout for these types of fixtures and WE want to make more noise than them which we can’t do if YOU are not there.

CODE OF CONDUCT

There have been an increasing number of incidence across all age groups of parents, players and Coaches abusing umpires and fellow spectator or players.  There has been nothing officially sent to the Club but if you are engaging in this sort of action you are to cease it immediately or face the consequences of fronting the BHA Judiciary and the PRSA Club executive.  A copy of the BHA Code of conduct will be sent out to each Junior Club member by e-mail.
